The Antigua and Barbuda government has launched a second sort of citizenship by investment program that requires the investors to invest in the estate—buying a property—to draw in overseas investors.

To use this strategy, a potential investor must invest in a legally recognized property worth at least $4,000,000. Government processing fees and due diligence fees must be paid separately. A family of four will pay US$ 50,000 in processing fees, and each additional member will pay US$ 15,000 in processing fees.

If each investor makes a US$ 200,000 investment, the investors may also invest together. The government has restricted the citizenship by investment program, prohibiting the property’s owner from selling it for five years.
